Interview with Interior Designer Susanne Wefers
Susanne Wefers is a self-employed interior designer with her company WDW Interior Design, based in Wiesbaden. She is passionate about using the interior paints from COLOURS of MALLORCA in her international projects. We had the pleasure of conducting an exciting interview with her about her philosophy, range of services, and approach.

Ms. Wefers, please introduce yourself to our readers.
Susanne Wefers:
As a passionate color and interior design consultant, I see it as my mission to create spaces that are unique and inspiring for my clients. My focus is on developing holistic color and lighting concepts that create a special atmosphere, all with a love for detail. With my in-depth knowledge of colour psychology and the targeted use of different materials, I emphasize the individual character of each space, whether in private or commercial projects. I transform spaces into special places that come to life together with my clients. My connection to nature also plays a central role, which is reflected in my choice of colours and materials.
At international trade shows and during my travels, I am constantly discovering new inspirations and unique products. I place great importance on finding small manufacturers and exclusive suppliers who offer my clients high-quality, individual solutions beyond the mainstream. The colour palette from COLOURS of MALLORCA and its philosophy often play a key role in my projects.

What does your range of services include?
Susanne Wefers:
My range of services is very diverse. I help my clients enhance their spaces with accessories, decorative lighting, new colour accents, and bespoke concepts. Whether it's rugs, curtains, or a new piece of furniture, together we develop a comprehensive room concept tailored to my clients' needs. The process ranges from the initial consultation and design to implementation and coordination with craftsmen.
I create personalized colour schemes -using COLOURS of MALLORCA paints- and material concepts for offices, hotels, restaurants, clinics, and wineries. I handle the planning, design, and execution in close collaboration with experienced craftsmen. Additionally, I offer my clients exceptional furniture from European manufacturers, including tables, chairs, sofas, sideboards, cabinets, beds, and more. Lighting, mirrors, rugs, natural material wall finishes, unique wallpapers, innovative flooring, and decorations tailored to the overall concept are also part of my offering.
In cooperation with architects and craftsmen, I also oversee renovations and remodels, ensuring my clients receive everything from planning to final furnishings from a single source.

Where do you serve your clients?
Susanne Wefers:
I work in Wiesbaden, the Rheingau region, and the entire Rhine-Main area, as well as other parts of Germany and South Africa. Occasionally, I also take on projects in the USA.

What are your strengths, and why do clients choose you?
Susanne Wefers:
My clients appreciate my high standards of quality and my flexibility. I work with great passion and have a network of skilled craftsmen, ensuring my clients receive everything from a single source. One of my particular strengths is combining existing elements with new ones to create harmonious, unique spaces. I am creative and detail-oriented, but I also have the courage to present the extraordinary and take my clients on an inspiring design journey.
I have extensive knowledge in furniture design, lighting concepts, and accessories, as well as their interplay in a room. For me, there’s no such thing as "it can't be done"- I always find a solution and think outside the box. I always stay mindful of my clients' budgets and ensure they feel completely at home in their newly designed spaces.

How do you approach consultations with your clients, and what is particularly important to you?
Susanne Wefers:
Each of my projects is as unique as my clients themselves. The individual wishes, ideas, and budgets of my clients, as well as the room’s conditions, are always at the forefront. Together, we go step by step to develop a harmonious, holistic concept. Building deep trust is important to me, so I can fully understand what "spaces with soul" mean for my clients.
My goal is to bring spaces to life while finding a balance between functionality and aesthetics. The art lies in gently bringing the elements together into a cohesive whole.

Why do you use COLOURS of MALLORCA paints?
Susanne Wefers:
The COLOURS of MALLORCA paints impress me with their high pigmentation and resulting depth. They are not only long-lasting and washable but also easy to apply to walls. Moreover, they are very efficient and offer a wide colour palette, which gives me many options in design. For me and my clients, the emotional connection to Mallorca also plays a role, giving the colours special significance. Additionally, COLOURS of MALLORCA stands out for its commitment to quality, service, and customer focus.

Which shades from this colour palette do you prefer to work with?
Susanne Wefers:
I like to use warm shades such as ochre and sand, but grey and greige tones are also common in my projects. One of my favorite combinations is petrol with gold, as it conveys both elegance and warmth. I also use green tones to bring nature into a space and create a calming atmosphere.
