We find inspiration in Mallorca’s landscape, where windmills have harnessed the wind’s power for centuries, conserving resources sustainably. These windmills symbolize our commitment to combining sustainable and time-tested values with modern design in our colour production.

Sustainable, Custom Production, No Stockholding

At COLOURS of MALLORCA, each order is individually crafted to customer specifications, enabling a customized and resource-conserving production process. By avoiding stockholding and mass production, we eliminate unnecessary stock that could lead to waste. Instead, only the required amount is produced, significantly reducing resource consumption and preventing overproduction.

Use of high-quality colour pigments

Our paints are distinguished by the use of high-quality pigments, which, in addition to offering excellent colour intensity, also ensure an exceptionally long-lasting finish. As a result, fewer repaints are required, which reduces overall paint consumption and is gentler on the environment.

Low VOC content

The fine interior wall paints of COLOURS of MALLORCA feature very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Our formulations meet stringent German standards that exceed European regulations. Solvent-Free and Plasticiser-Free

Our design paints are free from solvents and plasticisers, making them more environmentally friendly and conducive to a healthy living environment. This avoidance of harmful chemicals is another step in protecting the environment while promoting the health of inhabitants.

Sustainable aspects of our paint buckets

Our paint buckets are made from durable PVC, providing optimal protection for your interior wall paint during shipping, while being long-lasting and versatile for reuse. Once used, our buckets can be repurposed for various needs, such as storage, garden work, toy storage, or creative DIY projects. Our buckets are fully recyclable, allowing the emptied bucket to be reintroduced into the recycling stream, thus optimizing resource use. Resource conservation begins with the production of our paint buckets, as PVC production consumes significantly less energy than other materials. A PVC paint bucket saves approximately 69% of energy in production compared to an aluminium bucket. When introduced into the recycling cycle after use, the material can be reused, preserving valuable resources. We continually strive to improve this approach to protect the environment and nature.

Sustainable Solutions for Leftover Paint

Leftover paint after a project can be put to good use. We encourage donating these to schools, kindergartens, or charitable organizations like theaters or social workshops, where they can be used for set design and creative projects. This approach extends the material’s lifespan, conserves resources, and reduces waste, in alignment with sustainability principles. Smaller amounts of leftover paint, once dried, can be disposed of responsibly with household waste.

Social sustainability

We are committed to social sustainability by working closely with workshops for people with disabilities. A portion of our logistics, from packaging and sample creation to shipping, is handled by people with disabilities. This collaboration fosters their integration into the workforce, boosts self-esteem, and supports economic independence. Through these partnerships, we actively contribute to inclusion, making social responsibility a key part of our business model. Every purchase supports this important commitment.

Use of solar energy

Our paint production is powered 100% by solar energy, further reducing our ecological footprint. Solar energy, one of the cleanest and most sustainable energy sources, aligns with our goal of environmental protection.

Certified climate neutral

In recent months, we have advanced our process towards climate neutrality. As a first step, we assessed and documented our current CO₂ emissions with the support of Fokus-Zukunft, providing a clear overview of our environmental impact. We identified all sources of greenhouse gases within our company and implemented additional measures to further reduce emissions. The few remaining emissions are offset by investing in a carefully selected compensation project.
