The Perfect Wall Paint for Bathrooms
Highly breathable, scrub-resistant and clear in design
Wall finishes in bathrooms often appear overloaded, leaving little room for true accents in furnishings or accessories. The solution is a purist, texture-free ceiling and wall finish using the velvety matt high-performance paint from COLOURS of MALLORCA.
Such a finish combines clarity with high functionality, making it ideal for use in bathrooms. The paint is highly breathable, naturally regulating moisture and thereby creating the foundation for a healthy indoor climate. At the same time, it produces uniform surfaces without patchiness or tonal variation. The result: functionality with a calm appearance and space for design in other areas.
What “highly breathable” really means
In bathrooms in particular, the indoor climate is crucial. High humidity, temperature fluctuations and water vapour place special demands on the materials used.
The fine interior wall paint from COLOURS of MALLORCA is highly breathable. This means it allows continuous moisture exchange between the wall and the room air. Water vapour can be absorbed and released again without moisture build-up.
This reduces the risk of condensation, helps prevent mould growth and supports a healthy indoor environment. For clients, architects and planners, this means greater confidence in material selection without compromising on aesthetics.

Scrub resistance – Wet abrasion class 1
Alongside building-physics performance, the surface plays a key role in everyday use. Classification in wet abrasion class 1 represents the highest level of scrub resistance for interior wall paints. In practical terms, this means the painted surface can, if necessary, be cleaned locally and with care using a damp microfibre cloth without damaging the paint film. Regular or large-scale cleaning should be avoided.
Rethinking design: the power of reduction
A homogeneous wall finish in bathrooms opens up creative freedom. Without visual distraction from textures or effects, a clear stage is created for adjacent materials, forms and details. In practical terms:
· Flooring can be showcased more effectively
· Sanitary objects stand out more clearly
· Furniture and built-ins appear more precise
· Accessories create accents without competing
The overall effect is a calmer, more spacious room with a more considered architectural feel. The velvety matt surface conveys a refined elegance.

A curated palette of 92 colours
Colour selection: All 92 shades from the collections Tierra Cálida (beige and brown tones), Azul Balear (blues), Tramuntana Gris (greys), Rojo Mediterráneo (reds and oranges), Palmera Verde (greens), as well as the Special Edition (Mallorca Icons) by COLOURS of MALLORCA are suitable for use in bathrooms.
The colour spectrum ranges from warm earthy tones and cool grey nuances to Mediterranean accent colours. Each shade is calibrated to work across surfaces, not as an effect, but as atmosphere.
Important application note
As high-performing as the surface is, it is not suitable for areas with direct and continuous water exposure, such as shower walls or immediate wall junctions around bathtubs. In these zones, water-resistant materials such as tiles, natural stone or seamless coatings are recommended.
